On March 6th 12:00pm EST, join Apprenticeships for America and the Maryland Workforce Alliance for an exclusive webinar. We will discuss the final report of the Maryland Apprenticeship 2030 Commission, launched by the Maryland General Assembly in 2023.
The Commission aims to address skills shortages in high-demand occupations and provide affordable training through Registered Apprenticeships. Its final report provides a blueprint for scaling apprenticeships in a state, making 23 recommendations to boost demand and supply, establishing an efficient apprenticeship ecosystem. There is already action being taken based on the Commission’s work, with Governor Wes Moore introducing the RAISE act into the Maryland Assembly this session.
Join us in conversation with Jake Hsu, the Chair of the Commission, MD State Senator Jim Rosapepe, and practitioners in Maryland to learn about the future direction of apprenticeships in Maryland, and legislation, policy, funding, administrative changes, and system-building efforts that could unlock progress in other states.
